About us

Our Story

Minko’s Tech Workshops was launched by Minko’s Macs Ltd, an award-winning independent Apple repair company, in response to a growing need: too many young people in London were being left behind in the digital world.
What began as a trusted local service for Mac repairs quickly evolved into something greater — a movement to educate, equip, and empower students aged 11 to 18 with the skills, tools, and confidence to thrive in the modern digital economy.
We saw talented young people — particularly from underserved and marginalised communities — with natural curiosity and creativity, but no access to equipment, no support to explore tech careers, and no guidance in using technology safely or sustainably. That’s when Minko’s Tech Workshops was born.
Today, we provide age-tailored in-person workshops, a growing online learning platform, and a structured year-long mentorship programme to help young learners navigate tech with purpose, responsibility, and ambition.

Our Vision

A future where every young person — regardless of their postcode, background, ability, or access — has the opportunity to participate fully in the digital age and shape the future of technology for the better

Our Mission

To close the digital divide by providing practical, industry-relevant tech training to students aged 11–18 — and eventually to older generations such as vulnerable elderly people at risk of digital exclusion and fraud.
We equip young people with real-world knowledge in hardware, cybersecurity, green computing, and mental wellbeing, enabling them to become digitally confident, employment-ready, and community-minded.
